Clothing Apparel Tips :: Vanity Fair Bras Vanity Fair Bras: A Review of Vanity Fair Undergarments and Bras
Custom Search
Vanity Fair bras may not be as popular as competing brands like Warner, Vogue or Jockey for Her, but they still have a loyal fan base addicted to the company’s wide range of fits and styles – particularly for full-figured women. But, how do these bras measure up to the competition? Are they worth the money? Are there better alternatives out there? For a full review of Vanity Fair bras, keep reading. Vanity Fair Price Points Most Vanity Fair bras retail for between $17 and $30, which is very comparable to similar department store brands like Hanes or Vogue. The bras sell at retailers like Sears, Macy’s, JC Penney and other large, national chains. Customers will typically pay more for full-figured styles or designs that have added features like extra support. Vanity Fair Bra Durability and Quality In a recent test run by Consumer Research, Vanity Fair bras achieved the highest score for washability. The bras and competing brands were run through a hundred washer and dryer cycles (despite instructions that they should be hung out to dry) and the Vanity Fair bras achieved the best rating for elasticity retention. They hold their shape well and as a result are long-lasting and incredibly durable. Unfortunately, Vanity Fair undergarments appear to be more prone to yellowing, due in part to their higher nylon or poly-fiber content. While bleach is effective against yellowing, it can drastically reduce the lifetime of the product. Vanity Fair Comfort Vanity Fair bras have built a niche for themselves by offering a vast range of sizes and hard-to-find full-figured sizes. They’re one of the few department store brands that offer DDDD cups or 46As. If the sizes aren’t available in stores, women can buy them online from their site or have a size ordered in special. Vanity Fair is also known for making comfortable bras that offer full support without digging in, cinching or putting too much strain on the shoulders or back. As a result, they’ve built up a strong following of brand fans. Vanity Fair Customer Service Vanity Fair does warranty their bras against manufacturer defect and they offer a return policy for website purchases. Unfortunately, they do not refund shipping costs for website purchases. This is definitely a strike for a company that sells bras – a product where the right fit is critical. Vanity Fair could definitely score higher points by offering a free shipping policy on all returns. The Final Word Overall, Vanity Fair bras are one of the best department store brands. The company could offer a stronger shipping policy for web orders and a better fabric blend that’s less prone to yellowing, but they’re still a great bra that stands up to regular wear and lots of washing.
