Cole Haan has called on Paul Overfield to be their design director and the prominent Tracy Smith to be their chief merchandising officer.
Moving into International Markets

With a firm focus on doing all their growth in a very brand-consistent way, Cole Haan plans to tackle its key new markets by getting into specific retailers or even developing its own retail shops. For example, the brand is building a freestanding store in Dubai.
New Designs at Cole Haan
You’ll also notice a difference with designs. The company is really working to implement the Nike Air technology into its shoes. For instance, casual high heels with integrated Nike Air support.
The 80th anniversary is also a great platform for some heritage styles. Cole Haan is re-releasing its trademark penny loafer.
It’s the same design as the one that launched the company back in 1928 and the theme is replicated through accessories like handbags and jewelry.
As for Cole Haan boots, the company is still committed to making a line of different robust and durable boots that are just as comfortable on a forest hiking path as they are at a downtown, urban lounge.
