Clothing Apparel Tips :: Butterfly Bra Butterfly Bra: The Ins and Outs of the Butterfly - A Bra for Larger Women
Custom Search
The Butterfly Bra was designed and launched by Jill Scott, a Grammy-winning singer and actress. Why? Because she wanted a bra that would actually fit and provide the support she needed. She found it with her Butterfly Bra. To learn more about the company and this revolutionary product, keep reading. History of Butterfly Bras According to interviews with Scott, she had tried bras from $20 to $250 trying to find that perfect fit, but nothing was right. She even had bras custom made and still had the same issues. She spent her life wearing two bras – the first for support and the second for shape. It was time to do something about it. So, she decided to create and launch her own bra – the Butterfly Bra. What Makes the Butterfly a Butterfly? The butterfly bras are named as such because the back of the bras is made to look like a butterfly. Supposedly, this design reduces the appearance of back fat because the straps actually cover up where fat rolls normally show. The bras also come with gel straps and reinforcements to reduce digging and improve overall comfort. Thanks to the butterfly back, this bra also alleviates pulling on the shoulders and between the shoulders, reducing back pain for women with larger busts. Women will find that the underwire support doesn’t come out either, causing digging and pain. In keeping with the name, Ms. Scott designed all the bras to have a sweet and delicate front. Why? Because while women need support, they still want to look pretty too. Just because you have DDD breasts, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be allowed to sport delicate, lacey bras. Caring for a Butterfly Like most bras, a Butterfly should be hand washed in cold water and hung to dry. You may put it in the washing machine, but only in a lingerie bag and on the delicate setting. And always hang your bras to dry. Otherwise, the elastic can become warped from the heat in the dryer, altering the fit of the bra and destroying it. Available Styles and Prices Most of the popular Butterfly bras come in purple, neutral and black. However, the line does have a range of colors and fun and attractive patterns. It’s grown almost exponentially in the years since brand inception. The Butterfly is also one of the most affordable, custom-sizing bra available. It’s not only trendy, fashionable and comfortable, but the price is right too. The Butterfly Collection is by Ashley Stewart, but inspired by Jill Scott. It’s sold at Ashley Stewart stores and the Butterfly Bra retails for between $35 and $40. See also: All Site Articles for Clothing Apparel Tips
